GVS contracts with hundreds of highly qualified, experienced, dedicated and caring Doctors of Optometry. Doctors are continually monitored to ensure proper implementation of the plans quality assurance and standard of care guidelines. All doctors in the GVS Network have passed strict screening processes, including mandatory National Council of Quality Control compliant credentialing and approval.
GVS doctors perform comprehensive eye examinations as approved by the NCQA. Along with determining the patient's prescription, our comprehensive 12 point eye examination, performed by a Doctor of Optometry, will also aid in detecting:

Strict standards for screening all doctors in the GVS Network
- Mandatory NCQA compliant credentialing and approval of all GVS participating doctors
- Verification of all doctors' primary source information
- On-site visit verification of credentialing and re-credentialing policies and procedures
- National Practitioner Data Base (NPDB) report on every Doctor in the GVS network
- Internal GVS committee reviews and approves all GVS doctors in the network
- Re-credentialing of all GVS provider doctors every 24 months.
